Lee Young

Lee Young’s art career started in Manassas, Virginia where she took private lessons in painting in oils and pastels. Subsequent to that time she was engaged in unrelated business ventures while developing and maintaing her skills through constant practice and study.

In 1986, she moved to Florida where she began painting full time. Her work includes oils, acrylics, watercolors, sculpture, screen printing and three dimensional moulding.

She has sold to a wide variety of buyers, from private collectors to large corporations. Her emphasis on her work is functionality through color.

Artist Statement:
“When I first came to Florida I saw the clean ribbons of concrete highways, the white billowing clouds against an azure sky, palm trees standing tall on a sugar sand beach and felt the air touching my skin with a soft caress. It was really a breathtaking experience, an inspiration I wanted to turn into an artistic achievement.” - Lee Young
