Venice, Florida photographer Christopher Bunn grew up and was educated in London, England. During the past four decades, his subjects have encompassed a wide and diverse range, including American historical estates, celebrities, and landscapes. Living on the west coast of Florida for the past 15 years, Bunn has found inspiration in the changing moods of this challenging climate, and the power of nature is clearly evident in his work. “My seascapes are like a symphony, orchestrated by the barometric pressure,” he says. His treks into the unspoiled Florida environment reveal aging trees, “…like battered prize fighters who have endured the rounds, robed in new life and taking shelter among their limbs as they await resurrection.” Bunn creates all his own prints, using traditional silver gelatin film, and uses organic pigments on Hahnemuhle, the finest European art paper used since 1584, for his giclee prints. “The process is slow by todays standards, but endures a lifetime,” says Bunn. His award-winning photography has been published in both national and international magazines and on record album covers, and his gallery prints and commissioned works are available for both private collections and commercial installations.
